Internationales Transportforum 2010

26. bis 28. Mai 2010 in Leipzig

KLIWAS will be one of five topics to be presented by the German Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development (BMVBS) during the International Transport Forum (ITF) at Leipzig. A team of three experts will answer questions of an international audience about this research programme there. The focus will be on technical options to adapt to climate-induced changes in navigable waterways, giving equal consideration to ecological and economic aspects.

Besides the presentation of KLIWAS, a model of the research airplane „Falcon“ of the Ger-man Aerospace Centre (DLR) will be on display, and aspects of electrically powered mobility (e-mobility), e-Ticketing, and the Central German Reporting System for dangerous cargo on sea and shipping (Zentrales Meldesystem für Gefahrgut und Schiffsverkehr der Bundesrepub-lik Deutschland - ZMGS) will be introduced.

We are looking forward to meeting you and to answering your questions,

Andrea Mehling, German Federal Institute of Hydrology (BfG)
Dr. Hartmut Heinrich, German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH)
Annette Schulte-Rentrop, German Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute (BAW)
