In the planned project, selected construction materials will be tested regarding the mobilisability of organic and inorganic pollutants. After detailed study of the literature, inorganic and organic pollutants will be selected and the effect of their release will be analysed with regard to typical water conditions, such as pH value, redox potential, salt content etc. The different parameters will be varied systematically in order to achieve reliable results on the mobilisation potential of the substances in changing conditions. In addition, the environmental behaviour (degradation, absorption/adsorption) of the substances that have been released in water/sediment systems will be clarified. Finally, selective tests are to be carried out as to whether parameters of water chemistry also possibly influence the stability of construction materials.
